The County of Washington, Virginia is currently accepting proposals from qualified Internet Service Providers to partner with the County for submittal of one or more applications to the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (Commission) for a Last-Mile Broadband Grant (Grant). The primary objective of the Commission in awarding the Grant is to provide one-time financial assistance to supplement construction costs by private sector broadband service providers, in partnership with local units of government, to extend service to areas that presently are unserved by any broadband provider. Sealed proposals will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Proposals must be made using specified proposal forms, and may be mailed or delivered to the address above for the Department of Budget & Finance. Proposals received after the deadline, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
