WASHINGTON COUNTY, VIRGINIA PUBLIC HEARINGS
Public hearings will be held on the following proposed ordinance by the Planning Commission of Washington County, Virginia, on Monday, May 24, 2021, 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard and by the Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Virginia, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard. Both public hearings will be held in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at the County Administration Offices located at 1 Government Center Place; Abingdon, Virginia.
An Ordinance to Amend Sections 66-1 and 66-473 of the Code of the County of Washington, Virginia, to add Animal-Assisted Therapy as a Special Exception Use in the Business-General (B2) Zoning District
Adoption of the ordinance would allow Animal-Assisted Therapy to be permitted by special exception permit in the B2 zoning district and would require specified information to be included in the application for such permit.
